Spring Flowers

Materials
* 3-5 different colored sheets of tissue paper
* pipe cleaners
* vase (if desired)

Let your child choose three or four different colored sheets of tissue paper and set them on top of each other. Show how to fold the paper into an accordion fold (or fanfold) and wrap a pipe cleaner or twist tie in the middle of the folded tissue. Next, have your toddler carefully open his flower by pulling the different colors of paper either up or down as desired to separate and "fluff." Add a pipe cleaner stem. If you like, you can even craft leaves from additional colored pipe cleaners.

* We like to cut the ends of the tissue paper when folded into strips or a ruffly edge to add some texture to the flower when it's finished!
