Mother Earth

Materials:
* paper plate
* crayons or markers
* water
* figurines or pictures representing things found on earth (on both land and water)
* glue

Show your toddler a simple picture of earth. Using that as your guide, have your child create her own earth by coloring the paper plate blue and green. (Very young children may need an adult to draw on continents and let them color the land green and water blue.) To help kids understand the difference between land and water, have them glue on small and simple items (figurines or pictures) such as fish, dolphins, and boats in the water areas and trees and animals on the continents.
