Flip-Flop Fun

You and your child can create a unique pair of fashionable flip-flops for a caregiver, babysitter, friend, or themselves. Have your child help you pick some ribbon and gemstones or other decorative items to add to a pair of flip-flops. Cut a 19 inch strip of ribbon (You can always trim the ends shorter to fit the size of flip-flops you have chosen.) and fashion a pretty bow from it. Trim the ends off at a diagonal. Use a hot glue gun (adults only!) to fasten the ribbon onto the Y-part of the flip-flop. Add a charm, stone, or other decorative item to the center of the bow or don't use anything at all.
